Birthday Weekend

Superbowl Sunday was officially my birthday.  Brooke was really sweet and offered to make me quiche for breakfast and got up early and everything.  Unfortunately, we didn't have the right sized pan and the quiche didn't actually turn out - as in it never actually fully cooked.  So instead, we turned to our favorite French cafe for wonderful pastries.

Around 3pm, Tammy picked me up and we did some shopping before ending up at her friend Drea's Superbowl party.  Tammy also got me an ice cream cake and everyone sang me the second most out-of-tune and off key-version of Happy Birthday I've ever heard.

That evening my friends Will and Julie from Medford arrived to spend the night just so they could see Will's son, Billy.  I am so gullible, I totally believed them.  They actually made the trip to go skiing with Brooke and me for my birthday. It was such a sweet surprise. The weather on the mountain wasn't that great, but it didn't matter - it was just really fun to hand out with everyone!

And to top it off, I was also surprised with a dinner with Tammy, Brooke, Erika, and Shannon tonight at a new restaurant downtown after we got back from skiing.  Seriously, my friends rock.

Holy Cow! There's no question whether you are loved or not! If you don't confess in your next blog that you gained 20 lbs over the weekend from all of your dining and coffee and ice cream cake, I'm never reading your blog again!!!!
