Megan's Bachelorette Party

This had to be one of the best bachelorette parties I've ever experienced.  Liz, Rachelle, and I took Megan (the bride to be) to Leavenworth, Washington, for a weekend in pseudo-Bavaria. Over the years, Leavenworth has been revamped to resemble an old German town, complete with building-sized murals, hand-painted business signs, and polka music playing in the town square.

Saturday morning we fell out our front door and walked across the street to Osprey Rafting, beginning our adventure rafting down the river. The trip was over 5 hours down class 3 and 4 rapids, with perfect weather and ridiculously cold water.

We finished the evening up with games and movies, then headed back Sunday morning and got into town just in time to get the bride to her family's REI-themed shower - everyone brought gifts from REI and Megan and her finance had to put together a tent without speaking as a pre-marital test.  It was hilarious.  And they did it pretty quick!  Must be a good sign!
