Meegees Got Married!

This last weekend my great friend Megan got married to her long-time Slovenian boyfriend, Srecko, at her parents' house southeast of Seattle.

Friday morning we all met up for our traditional group breakfast of coffee and bagels at Starbucks and Noahs (its a college thing) before heading over to Frenchy's for pedicures.  We sipped champagne and munched on cupcakes and truffles.  Then, with our toes looking pretty, we grabbed lunch and headed down to her parents' house for rehearsal.

When we got to their house we were blown away - the property was BEAUTIFUL!  White tent, white lights, white Chinese paper lanterns, decorated tables, wine bar, blue and green flowers everywhere.  And did I mention the up close and personal view of Mt Rainier?

.

Then the big day!

Megan was so beautiful!
The Wedding Pary

The ceremony was personal, funny, and quick!  At one point Megan pulled a tissue out of her dress and handed it to Srecko to wipe his eyes.  She got a good laugh from the audience, but was nothing compared to the reaction they received when Srecko put it back down her dress when he was done..

The night continued with dinner, dancing and mingling.  There were 150 people there, but you'd never know it.  Her parents did a wonderful job of orchestrating everything - everything flowed so nicely, from the events to the layout of the tables.  Once the event wound down, we realized Megan hadn't thrown the bouquet yet.  That was perfect, because Rachelle and I were the only single girls left at the party!  We took our positions, got ready, then I hip checked Rachelle and caught the bouquet with one hand.

On Sunday we all again headed out to the house where the bride and groom returned for a Sunday brunch and to open a few of their gifts before heading out on their honeymoon.

(Yes, her shirt says "Happily Married to a Slovenian")

Hi Alicia, it's Craig!

Even though Noah's is a chain, reading about them sure makes me pine for some! I still remember my everything bagel with sun-dried tomato cream cheese, NY cheddar Kettle chips, and a Coke.
