Two weeks in Florida

For the last two weeks I've been "working" hard in Florida, and want to share some pictures.  We arrived in Tampa Sunday night, and after a day in the office on Monday headed over to Daytona Beach - where we stayed while working in New Symrna Beach.  Sounds tough, right?

After the first day at the office, Brandy and I hightailed it to the beach.

There five minutes, looked up and saw...
Turns out there's a shuttle launch the day after we leave...and two more through the end of June!  Oh well, next time.

Brandy and me

First time eating Chick-fil-A!
On Saturday we went down to the Kennedy space Center - one of my favorite days.
A retired rocket from the Then and Now Tour

One of many retired launch pads in Cape Canaveral

Rocket Graveyard :-)

The original launch room: It goes around the corner, but at launch time over 150 people crowded in here.

Saturn V - the rocket that sent many to the moon (its the length of a football field)

The top of Saturn V

I was loving this museum.  But I got kicked out.  Apparently we got there too close to closing time and the volunteers hunted us down and sternly told us to leave.

Okay, not really.

I wish this picture did it justice - the sun was hot pink

Doesn't get more ocean front than this...

Check out those storm clouds - thunder and lightning every day

Obligatory stop at the Daytona Speedway - too bad we were there the two weeks a year they don't give tours! And two weeks too early for opening day (sigh).

Brandy with the founders of Nascar.  I'm sure she'll remember this moment forever.

I can't say enough how much I yearn for Chick-fil-a!
