It's 2010!

I kicked off New Years Eve by spending the afternoon with Allie, Scott and Brayden - the little guy is so cute!  I can't believe he's almost a month old, so I got lots of cuddle time in before meeting up with some friends for the Portland-Seattle hockey game.

This is Tom, Chris and Tammy - super excited, as you can tell.

Sadly there was no fighting, but overall the game was fun and fast paced - except for those two long breaks between periods the teams apparently needed to rest up.  Pansies.

From there I joined a bunch of my girlfriends at Alexis' place to ring in the new year with champagne and movies.  We continued to join her for the Rose Bowl on Friday.

(Aren't the produce people at Safeway creative??)

Then Saturday morning a bunch of us headed up to the mountain - Brooke and Elise to ski, and Alexis, Dominique and I to sit in the lodge and drink hot chocolate.

Brooke and Elise joined us for lunch half way thru their adventure.

This is us trying to plan part of our New Zealand/Australia trip. We leave 19 days.  At some point we're going to have to actually book something.

Then they took off again and Lex, Dominique and I went for a walk-a-bout in the snow.  (Ha. "Walk-a-bout." I kill me)

(PS, Dominique likes to make lots of snow angels)

Anyway, after we stared to head back, Lex pulled over and illegally parked to get a shot of this waterfall. Which started a trend and within five minutes four other cars were also parked illegally. Lemmings.

And Dominique got a picture of this baby elephant.

From here we almost got home before getting side-tracked by a Walmart (a rare treat, since there are none within 30 minutes of any us) and we spent a good hour wondering the aisles and purchasing after-Christmas stuff.

I spent almost all day Sunday shopping for my trip. Did I mention its in 19 days??

And now for another week of work.

Hey, when you don't have the option of just popping in for $1 toothpaste whenever you feel like it, it becomes a treat! Esp when the place is almost empty ;-)

My camera is a Sony Cybershot DSC-WX1 and I'm in love with it.
