Our friend Tracy works for Habitat for Humanity and every year she puts together their benefit dinner to help raise funds to build houses. The dinner is typically downtown at a swank hotel, with the food catered by one of the local renowned chefs, and fantastic prizes are auctioned off to the highest bidder. Last year I won a gliding trip, a Leatherman and a couple gift certificates. This year included trips to Italy and Bali - there were some very generous donors! We had a great time, even if we didn't win anything.
