Dinner and a Little Head-Banging

Every year the Trans Siberian Orchestra comes to Portland for one night.  One night.  And this year, that very special night fell on a Monday.  Lex and Dominique arraigned to be in town, so with them and Brooke, my mom, and my S.I.L. (sister in law, Jessica) we dressed up and hit downtown for a fun dinner followed by all the head-banging, flame-throwing, hard-rocking we could handle!

After dinner we all piled into Lex's car and cheered her on as she drove the wrong way around a building on the sidewalk to avoid a super annoying one-way street.
Thankfully the ushers weren't quite the camera nazis they normally are.
 Me and mi mama
I swear some of those guys were doing product placement for Pantene Pro V - never in a million years will my own hair be that shiny (or long).  And the teenage boys sitting next to Jess were calling out stats like a college football game - "This is their album cover!" "That's Angus Clark! I can SEE him!" "We love you Anna Phoebe!"

It was a GREAT night!  And mom only lost her shoe once.
