Christmas Eve was pure craziness and fun. We whooped it up in Jacksonville, ringing in the holiday with the entire Denn clan.
Our family's so serious.
Sometimes I'm like, "come on guys, lighten up a little."
Quit being so darn sober all the time.
Please, just once, smile for the camera.
About half way through the evening it was announced that caroling would soon ensue and everyone made their way outside to find the most festive hay ride vehicle ever.
I was innocently taking pictures - fully intending on skipping back inside to enjoy the cleared-out kitchen - when instead I was kidnapped by these guys:
Pulled right up into the bed of the truck by Trent and Travis with no apologies.
I was forced, kicking and screaming, to sing carols at the top of my off-tune lungs and wish all who stopped to witness the spectacle that was our family a very Merry Christmas indeed!
Note that I'm sitting ON Dotti.
See what I mean? Hopefully next year they'll get into the spirit of things.
Once back inside we all settled in for the reading of The Night Before Christmas.
As the story wrapped up we were all waiting on pins and needles for...
SANTA!
Santa was quite jolly! He happily greeted all the kiddos, passed out presents and posed for pictures.
(For 364 days of the year, Santa goes by "Norris" and happens to complete the below brother trio)
Love our little families!
And the rare moment Emma willingly sat on someone else's lap. Way to go Levi! (There may have been bribery involved.)
And when the adults just couldn't take the child craziness anymore, we enlisted MP Nick.
To restore order and instill the importance of reflecting on the importance of the holiday season. Which apparently in this photo is submission.
Take from that what you will.
Take from that what you will.
