May, Sunny, and 70 Degrees

Saturday morning Lex and I met up with Brooke and Elise downtown for breakfast at sunrise. Okay, it was closer to 9:30, but it felt like sunrise.
We ate at one of our favorite places downtown

As soon as we got back to the house we got crackin. Last year our tomatoes were six feet tall and broke their tomato cages, so this year Lex decided they needed something a little more stable.
She measured and pounded and rigged - and I kept everything level.
We're dog-sitting for our neighbors and decided they should come enjoy the day with us.
 This is Chelsea
 and Daisy
 and Teba
 and Calvin and Tsuess.

This is our (temporarily) innocent garden. Within a month it should be trying to take over the world - huge zucchini, tons of strawberries and sweet tomatoes!
