After lots of hard work and faithful study, Elise graduated from Western Seminary with a Master of Arts in Ministry and Leadership!
She invited us to her graduation banquet Friday night and we were honored and thrilled to attend. We sung two of my favorite hymns (It Is Well With My Soul and Be Thou My Vision), and heard incredibly inspiring - and humbling - student speakers.
Elise's sister and mom even flew in to celebrate.
The following day was the graduation ceremony.
And look who we ran into!
Matthew McAuliffe, the worship pastor at Trail Christian Fellowship (and our fellow Israel tourist), received his Master of Arts in Biblical and Theological Studies.
After the ceremony, and Elise had officially graduated, we of course had to participate in our favorite weekend tradition - brunch.
The Bistro down the street from my place was doing its first ever brunch and did it well. We all loved the mimosas, left stuffed full of great food, and had a fabulous time.

Yay Elise! I'm so glad we got to be there for all the banqueting and cheering and graduating.
