My mom very rightly claims the entire month of August for birthday celebrations, so the weekend after her birthday I drove down to Southern Oregon and we kicked off the celebrations with breakfast at Tap Rock in Grants Pass with Juliann, Karen, Carla, Dolores and Shelly.
After coffee, cards and a round of "happy birthday!", we were off. First stop of Schmidt Vineyards.
Gabbers and Veronica were in great spirits, so Shelly was able to come along for the first stop.
Look at those grins!
Then we were off to Troon, where we enjoyed some of Applegate Valley's best along with a picnic lunch and live music.
Have I mentioned yet that it was 105 degrees?
We tried staying cool, be everywhere was so busy that the doors were constantly open.
But we powered through.
But we powered through.
The next stop was the fabulous Red Lilly.
I'm a bit in love with their dessert flight, and if you haven't been there to try it yet, go now.
And our final stop was Fiasco.
We were so hot and wined out we had to call it quits after just four stops.
I think next year we're going to have to train first.

Did my comment disappear? I repeat (maybe) that you coming down made it a very special day and I like all the pics you took. :)
