Happy Halloween!

On Tuesday Brooke emailed me and suggested that we dress the same for work on Halloween, since we pretty much accidentally do that at least once a week anyway.  I said sure and let her know what I was thinking of wearing.

Wednesday morning she shows up to my house to carpool and walks in wearing this:

"It may have been my intention to go as you for over a week.  I just needed to figure out what you were wearing."

We got tons of double takes in Starbucks, which is saying something considering it was both Halloween and (lets be honest) Portland.  At work it was a huge hit.  Brooke kept getting called Alicia in all her meetings, and by the very nature of the costume (and the publicity of the costume contest), lots of people introduced themselves to me.  It was a brilliant way to get to know more of my coworkers.  One gal admitted she didn't know who I was, or that I worked at M Financial, so she spent half an hour googling "Alicia Harvey," sure Brooke had dressed up as someone famous.

(A run to the Famer's Market on our lunch)

"Brooke Snelling as Alicia Harvey"

Then Brooke came over and made pumpkin curry soup while we watched Bourne Identiy and passed out candy to super cute trick-or-treaters.  It was kinda perfect.

By far one of the most fun days I've had at work, and most definitely my favorite costume ever. Thanks D for bringing home the wig that inspired it all :-) And to Alicia, as imitation truly is the highest form of flattery, know that you are gorgeous (and not in a Peg Bundy kind of way)!
