Saturday morning a few of us gathered at Meriwethers to squeeze in one last brunch with Elise before she leaves for England, fulfilling a dream of studying theology in Bristol for a year. The morning was of course filled with mimosas, catching up, and extra-crispy bacon. It was sunny and beautiful and pretty much perfect.
Around noon we all said our goodbyes and Brooke, Lex and Aike and I headed up to White Salmon to join our friend Alan and a bunch of his friends raft down the river for the afternoon.
I think its evident by the huge smiles everyone had a blast!
Notice the look on my face: I am not scared of the wave, that water was COLD!
This is the rest of our party - Alan is in the front left.
The last run of the day was a 12 foot waterfall. I just wasn't feeling it, and Brooke was still recovering from the flu, so we jumped out and ran to the bridge to watch the rest of our boat take it on:
They made it!
Then Lex and I finished up the evening at NOG's watching Sandlot.
