Friday night a bunch of us celebrated Allie's 30th birthday with a fantastically organized Pub Crawl thru Goosehallow in downtown Portland. We started at The Goose (Goosehallow Inn), where Allie's parents generously bought a round of beer, then took Brayden off their hands for the night and left us drinking-age adults to it!
After the Goose, it was on to Kale for a little Ebenezer Ale, then to Hotel Deluxe for Allie's favorite drink, the Elizabeth Taylor (champagne and creme d'violet). She's so taken with it, they actually renamed it The Allison on their menu (before and after) -
In between stops we were presented with Scott's thoughtfully planned ahead "party favors," snacks in little baggies to keep us going as we made our way in the freezing cold to the next locations. The party favors included masala and rice (no fork or napkin necessary), fruit loops, jalapeno chips (which we weren't informed of until after everyone began to chow down), and sausage and cheese - neither of which were sliced for dignified eating.
To keep this blog PG, this is the extent of the sausage pictures I will posts.
Notice the baby carrier Scott is traveling with. Its the oh-so-brilliant way in which Scott chose to carry the party favors around all evening. There was much shock and awe as we would enter bars, or even pass strangers on the street, as they tried to mentally process what a baby was doing in a bar.
Or in a trash bag.
Or in a trash bag.
We finished on a high note with Bud Lights (and the rest of the sausage and cheese) at the Cammodore. It was a highly successfully birthday party pub crawl! Thanks Scott!
And Happy 30th Birthday Allie!
