I'll admit it. I was not happy about turning 31. I love being 30 and I can't believe how fast that year went by.
Since we got back a day early from DC, Brooke, Lex and I kept our Wednesday day off and played around the city. We went to brunch at the Tin Shed with Len and Sharon before Lex presented me with a wonderful massage gift certificate and Brooke took me to get my nails done.
We all worked on Thursday, but I had so many fun birthday wishes and birthday serenades the day flew by.
That evening Lex, Brooke and I spent the evening serving dinner at the Portland Rescue Mission (Brooke leads a ministry at her church that does this the first Thursday of every month). At one point James, the leader that evening, found out it was my birthday and rounded up everyone in the place to sing me the lowest, flattest, most awesome birthday song ever. Then he scurried into the kitchen and made me the biggest batch of chocolate no-bake cookies I've ever seen! It was so sweet. And everyone who came back thru line for seconds on dinner merrily wished me a happy birthday.

Then afterward (not done yet), the three of us headed to the east side for dinner at Pok Pok with Allie, Tammy and Anna! It was such a treat!
Thank you, friends, for such a fantastic, wonderful birthday!!!

And what in the heck is the big deal about being 31? I mean...if you want to feel have a panic attack about something, think about the fact that your mother has been a mom for 31!!!! years!!! Now THAT is crazy! Gotta go..I'm having a panic attack.
