On this morning we all slept in and lounged around on the deck reading, journaling, and staring absentmindedly at the view. Around noon Brooke had had enough non-active-ness and declared it was time to go to a beach. We suited up, jumped in Pocho's boat and set out for Bocas Town to pick up a few snacks.
Christmas trees in paradise? Sounds like the perfect Dominique vacation.

After snagging a few groceries, we decided on making Drago Beach (also known as Starfish Beach) our destination for the afternoon.
After claiming a spot on the sand, Brooke and I decided to walk down the beach to do a bit of exploring.
There was one of these huts every few meters, and every one of them came well stocked with fresh fruit and a bartender.
Late afternoon we remembered that Cosmic Crab was having a dinner special - seafood chowder, fresh crab legs, and dessert for $8. Time to go!
Its really quite amazing the pull passion fruit butter has on us.
I found this parrot in the community behind the restaurant, thought it was cute and snapped a picture.
This place also had free wifi - if you heard from any of us during the trip, chances are we were sitting here.
Before we left, the owner, Joan, and her kiddos brought out their pet parrot! We snapped lots of pics, said our goodbyes and headed back to the house.
A fun fact about the house is that it is run solely off solar power. A less fun fact is it was a bit overcast during this day, and leaving the fans on to keep the air circulating used up all the juice. We returned to a dark and power-less house. Augustine fixed us up, though, getting the generator going, which allowed us to run a single light. We finished out the evening playing dominoes in the living room before trading the light for a fan and calling it a night.

I totally missed the cute sign and bird behind Cosmic Crab. I wonder if Joan would be our Facebook friend? And, does it still count as a cheap dinner ($8 for crab legs) if we factor in the plane tickets it is going to cost to get us back there? Cuz we are so going back there! Only with even stronger bug spray. On that note, I am going to take a hiatus from reading your blog to go apply some more aloe vera. I'm waiting in great anticipation for your retelling of Day 6!
