Three years ago, six of us gals ventured to Lincoln City for a beach weekend retreat to reunite and celebrate Tarah's birthday, so we decided to head back for the long, holiday weekend. We all took Friday off work, piled into two cars, and kicked off the day shopping at the Woodburn Outlets. Elise, Lex and I took off a bit early to grab lunch, then headed to the beach.
We got there a bit ahead of Brooke, Dominique and Tarah, so while we waited we decided to squeeze in a little wine tasting.
Finally we all arrived at our little red house in Olivia Beach - vacation officially began.
Brooke and Lex made dinner, and we later roasted bananas (stuffed with chocolate, marshmallows and coconut) via bonfire on the beach.
The rest of the weekend was spent doing this...
and this...
and this...
and this...
It was tough. On Sunday evening we went out to dinner to celebrate Tarah's birthday then ventured out on one final walk to the beach before the down pour.
Monday morning we made breakfast out of all the leftovers in the fridge and began the pack-up/clean-up process.
(Yep, we had fun)
Finally we were heading out back to Portland, with a bathroom break at Argyle Vineyards (a little champagne tasting anyone?) and a "lunch" stop at The Sweetest Thing bakery for cupcakes. It was so great spending time together - and it all went by way too fast!
