Lobsters in Maine

A couple weeks ago I got to fly to Portland, Maine, for a business trip, which I am blogging about because A) it was quite fun and productive and B) it involved a boat tour and a giant lobster dinner.
 6am departure out of Portland.

After working hard all day, a bunch of us boarded a chartered boat for a history tour around the sound.
It was beautiful.  On one side of the boat was the sunset:
and on the other was the moon rise.
Me and my *awesome* boss, Tami.

After about an hour we docked at one of the residential islands for dinner.  The restaurant is only open a couple months a year, and the bar was filled with locals.
We ended up sitting outside right on the water.  It was a bit chilly, but eating your weight in mussels, clams, rolls, corn, baked potatoes and berry shortcake has a funny way of keeping you warm.
These things were gigantic!  And we each ate two.  Cause that's apparently how we roll.  That and a bunch of people who RSVPed couldn't make it.

Over all the trip went great, but due to a lovely thunderstorm in Chicago, our rerouted trip home included two layovers, multiple delays, and a 3:30am arrival time.
