Seattle Seahawks and Hannah's First Half Marathon!

Saturday afternoon, after O.D.ing on apples, Lex and I headed up to Seattle to see her aunt and uncle, cheer on Hannah in her first ever half marathon, and finish up at a Seahawks game.  We drove directly to Gig Harbor and got there before the sun went down.  Lex took me on a tour of downtown area, showing off all her favorite spots. W e ended up at Greg and Margo's beautiful house on the water.

Giant jellyfish.
 Eww.

Greg and Margo are delightful.  They are so sweet, and grilled up a salmon dinner for us.  And I got to flip though some fantastic family photos.  Then, way too early Sunday morning, Lex and I said goodbye, hit up Starbucks, and were on our way to Gas Works park up in Seattle.
We found Hannah before the race started to wish her good luck.
Then Lex and I drove around the route to find more spots to cheer her on.
Nice to know some things never change.
And more places to cheer.
Then the overwhelming desire for bacon (and real food in general) took over, so we bid her farewell and drove directly to Lex's favorite Seattle brunch place, 5 Spot on Queen Anne.
After stuffing ourselves silly with sweet potato hash and pumpkin spiced pancakes, we decided we'd take advantage of the early start and see if we could find decent parking for the game, and (score) we found $10 valet parking.

Then, we were in!
My first pro football game!
 This place is LOUD.
It was a great game and the Seahawks won!
And the weather was perfect - mid-60s, sunny, and beautiful.  Great way to enjoy one of the last sunny weekends of the year!

Three blog posts in a row without me? Seriously, where I have been?

So fun! Seattle looked especially delightful. Hannah, you rock. Lex and Leesh, your nostalgic journey through Lex's childhood was pretty great. And bacon. And football. I'm just going to say it: jealous. :-)
