Portland, along with the rest of the West, has been enjoying a heat wave for the last week or so. Parks are packed, people are sweating through shorts and tank tops, and there is a general giddiness in the city.
Friday night was the perfect night for a girls get-together, so Lex, Brooke, Dominique, Melissa, little Alejandra and myself potluck-styled our way over to Elise's place to take advantage of her perfect French-style patio.
Lex made a strawberry balsamic bourbon drink that was to die for, and the rest of us contributed various taco ingredients and side dishes.
Voila!
We laughed and ate and laughed a whole lot more. Almost all of us are in transition of one form or another, and this was a great way to kick things off. Excited for many more of these in the next couple months!
